Three sisters return home after the death of their mother to attend her funeral. Each sister has distinct memories of their childhood often contradicting those of their siblings as they laugh, cry rage and bicker about both the past and present. Vi, the departed mother, a ghostly vision in flowing taffeta, demanding to be understood rather than be buried and forgotten, complicates matter even further – especially as she is only visible to one sister.
