New Players wants to present two One Act Plays in June, giving two new directors an opportunity to try their hand! We have lost one of our new directors (Krystal has gone to Christchurch) so this is a chance for someone keen to give it a go.
Phil Saxby will direct “An Incident at the Border” with a cast of 3. Directors will organise their own rehearsals, but New Players will provide support for the production at Newlands Community Centre. Both plays may be entered in the One Act Play competition.
We welcome new members in all areas, whether your interest is in acting, stage management, lighting and sound, props or any other aspect of theatre production. Whatever your age or level of experience, you are assured of a warm welcome. So If you would like to join us, to start off our next 40 years, please contact us. We look forward to meeting you.
Our rehearsal & performance space is at the Newlands Community Centre, 9 Batchelor Street, Newlands, Wellington which is a convenient, comfortable venue and close to public transport.
